Tocumwal Public School students Imogen Jones and Daisy Flanagan travelled to Narrandera last week as members of the Finley Zone PSSA Netball Team.
The girls played in the Western Riverina trials against the best players from other zones in the Western Riverina area.
The competition was tough but the girls were up for the challenge.
The Finley Zone coach, Tanya Saraikin, said the girls performed very well in their games and were pivotal members of the team.
In what was a tremendous achievement, Imogen was selected to play in the final game of the day in the ‘Possible and Probables’ - a mix of all players from teams, from which a final Western Riverina team is selected.
Despite not advancing any further, both girls felt it was a very worthy experience that they have gained a lot from.
Well done to you both.
