Names to be listed prior to 12.45pm. Flat-sole shoes to be worn and bowls are available. An afternoon of sheer pleasure and good fellowship.
Last Wednesday the stars were shining in the first round of play. Three rinks were in operation and the bowling was heavily contested.
On rink one Ray Hanson continued with his post-pennant form to amass 52 points to defeat Ian Johnson on 48 points and Andy Harris on 33.
On rink two the scoring was really close, with only one point separating the three players.
Leading left-handed Frank Chugg won the battle on 54 points, closely followed by John Fisher and Graham Turner who could not be separated on 53 points.
The final rink was a challenge from four women on the day. Women’s president Denise Gilmore scored a clear-cut victory with 59 points followed by Jenny Fisher on 32, Lorraine Appleby on 30 and Lois Chugg in fourth place. An enjoyable day had by all.

The club thanked Steve Peter for his contribution as club secretary. Steve relinquished the position recently due to personal reasons plus his heavy involvement in the local Campaspe area and the position of vice-president of the Bendigo-Campaspe-Goldfields Region. Best of luck to Steve Peter.
Several members (20 in all) travelled to Pyramid Hill on Sunday for the classic fours. The results are in the wind.
The Lockington Bowls Club offered sincere condolences to Norm Bacon and wife Margaret on the recent sad loss of their daughter Gail and son Robert. Our thoughts are with the extended Bacon families.
