Set to highlight what has been a wildly successful autumn, the Euroa-based Lindsay Park Racing stable will have a pair of its most exciting young horses competing in the Rosehill Gardens showcase.
Little Brose, who claimed the duo’s second Group One victory in the Blue Diamond Stakes three weeks ago, returns to the track this weekend with hopes of making it back-to-back top-tier triumphs for the brothers.
While Arkansaw Kid will once again join his stablemate on the big stage, after he ran a gallant third in the Blue Diamond.
Speaking to The News in the lead-up to the race, Lindsay Park Racing co-trainer Ben Hayes said he could not be more thrilled with the preparation of his horses.
“With the Golden Slipper both horses did their final pieces of work this morning (Monday) and I was thrilled with both of them, they are looking very similar to what they did in the lead up to the Blue Diamond,” Hayes said.
“So I can’t fault anything lead up and now we just pray we get a good barrier and I’ll be confident both horses will be very competitive.”

The autumn has been nothing short of an overwhelming success for all involved with Lindsay Park.
Since taking over the stable as a duo in June 2021, the Hayes brothers are finally seeing the fruits of their labour, with a consistent string of winners at tracks across the country propelling them into the industry’s top echelon.
Ben said it was a thrill to see a growing contingent of the stable’s runners striving for wins and put the recent success down to the hard work of the staff behind the scenes.
“JD and I could not be happier with how things are travelling, a lot of hard work goes in behind the scenes and we’ve got a lot of hard working staff as well,” he said.
“So to see the horses go out there and consistently get good results it is wonderful and something we’ve been working towards.
“Hopefully we can keep it going, but the results we are seeing now are all credit to the staff and the team working together well.
“We’re just lucky enough we’ve got horses with good ability and we can get the best out of them.”
Saturday shapes up to be a big day for the Euroa family.
The Hayes’ will saddle up three runners in the fifth running of the All-Star Mile (1600m) at Moonee Valley.
Mr Brightside, Gentleman Roy and So Si Bon are the trio from Lindsay Park that will jump in the $5 million race.
