Rich River

Thursday, December 8

The GC pennant grand final was played today at Kyabram between Rich River Kangas and Deni Blue.

All the Kangas team played at their best but unfortunately Deni played a little better.

Kangas lowest score for the day was 4/7. A great display of croquet entertained the large number of spectators until the last game.

Congratulations Deni Blue on your win. Final scores were Deni 7/70 to Kangas 5/69.

Due to the number of supporters at Kyabram today only six members played singles.

The winner was Jim Gunn on +11 with wife Surong on +5 in second place. James Harrison scored a hoop-in-one.

Tuesday, December 13

Nineteen members played doubles.

Only two players won three games and both finished on +7. On a countback, Sandra Retallick was the winner and Rick Finch the runner-up.

An encouragement award was given to James Harrison for consistent improvement.

Kingball will be played this Saturday, December 17 at 9am for a 9.30am start.

Echuca

Friday, December 9

Eight members arrived, playing three practice games. Jump shots for the day went to Jill Graham and Vince Jessen. Hoops-in-one to Jack Clee and John Graham.

Monday, December 12

Seventeen members and seven guests all arrived in Christmas outfits ready for our Christmas lunch and last fun day of the year.

We all played two games starting off with King Ball – lots of fun and laughs before getting ready for lunch. A big thanks to the girls for all the trouble they went to setting up the lunch.

After lunch, our three trophy winners for the year received their awards from John Alstin.

Congratulations to Johnny Tarrant, Glenda Kelly and Liz Dellar.

We will be back mid-January 2023.
