In the B3-grade clash, bottom-placed Katandra West came back to nearly snatch victory after being down three sets to one.
Isabelle Maples was key in the comeback, bagelling her opponent.
The result means Katandra West now sits on eight points on the ladder and is eight points behind fifth-placed Shepparton Lawn in the six-team division.
Conversely, McEwen Reserve is hanging on to fourth spot with one game remaining.
In other B3 contests, Tatura Lawn won 8-48 to 0-10 against Shepparton Lawn and Kialla Park Purple beat Kialla Park Orange.
In C2 action, sets were the only thing splitting Shepparton North and Shepparton Lawn Blue as North won 5-34 to 3-34.
In what was a tight round, Nathalia Lawn defeated Kialla Park 6-40 to 2-32, Shepparton Lawn Green was too good for Mooroopna 5-36 to 3-30 and Murchison knocked off Shepparton Lawn Yellow 5-39 to 3-29.
Shepparton Lawn Blue extended its lead on top of the A-grade table after topping second-placed Mooroopna Cats White, while Shepparton Lawn Green surprised Kialla Park Blue in the battle to avoid the wooden spoon.
Toolamba held its nerve to beat Kialla Park Gold 4-40 to 4-35 and McEwen Reserve won six sets against Mooroopna Cats Blue.
While Tatura Lawn had the bye in B1-grade division, Kialla Park, Shepparton Lawn Yellow and Shepparton Lawn Blue made the winners’ list.
Toolamba, Shepparton Lawn Blue and Kialla Park Green recorded tight victories in B2-grade and Shepparton Lawn Yellow won by six sets to two to be the biggest victor of the round.
In C1, Shepparton Lawn Green and Yellow were victorious over Shepparton Lawn Blue and Toolamba, respectively, while Mooroopna had the bye.
Shepparton Lawn Yellow forfeited to Tallygaroopna, Shepparton Lawn Green lost to clubmate Blue, Mooroopna accounted for Murchison and Tatura was too good for Kialla Park in D1 singles.
While Toolamba, Tatura Lawn, Mooroopna-Toolamba, Kialla Park Blue and Shepparton North were victorious in D2 doubles.
