Rochester lost its round two match to Echuca by just three runs and a week later lost by eight wickets to Kyabram. Then, at Kyabram Recreation Reserve on Friday, the team suffered a third defeat.
This Sunday, at 11am, the team will play Shepparton Youth Club United and will be aiming for its first victory of the season.
Against Kyabram on Friday evening Sadie Martin (11 from 16 deliveries) was the only batter to reach double figures as Rochester’s 17.1 overs netted 55-run total.
Losing its final four wickets for four runs made chasing the 122-run Kyabram total impossible. Kyabram was sent into bat after Rochester won the toss and never lost a wicket as three batters passed the 20 compulsory retirement total.
Giselle Crawford scored 22 for the team in the round three match and in round one Miranda Crawford (13) was the top scorer.
This Sunday’s (December 11) match is the final round before the Christmas break, which resumes for Rochester on January 15 at Bamawm.
