CSR half-year profit jumps 27pct to $110m

CSR managing director and chief executive Julie Coates said the result was supported by "price and cost discipline, reflecting our ability to manage the business in an inflationary environment". 

The company didn't give many numbers, but said it was entering the second half with good momentum.

"There continues to be strong demand for building products and good pipeline visibility," it said, predicting a "strong group result" for 2022/23.

The company declared an interim dividend of 16.5 cents per share, up from 13.5 cents per share a year ago.

At 1.23pm AEDT, CSR shares were up 4.0 per cent to $4.71.
