After three rounds of the Cricket Shepparton Haisman Shield season, Nagambie is well-placed in third position on the ladder after two straight wins.
Splitting of the points in its opening match against Tatura has Nagambie wedged on 15 points between fellow undefeated outfits Numurkah and Katandra and fourth-placed Waaia.
And with a date against the Magpies fast approaching, Nolan said his message to the group during the week had been to keep the momentum going.
“The message to the boys has just been to make sure we keep this momentum up,” he said.
“We got ourselves in a similar position last season with a few early wins and it's been nice to replicate that again.
“We are looking forward to getting out there this weekend.”
Joining Nolan and company out on the ground this weekend is opening bowling speedster Nathan Fothergill.
The Lakers will welcome Fothergill back with open arms after his Haisman Shield campaign last season when he collected 15 wickets at an average of 19.3 from 12 matches.
“Nathan had a bit of a hand niggle during footy finals and has missed the first couple of rounds with recovery,” Nolan said.
“It's going to be nice to get him back into the line-up
“He's a high-quality bowler and he'll send them down with the new ball.”
Nagambie's opposition enters off the back of a difficult day against ladder-leader Numurkah, where the Blues defeated Euroa by 137 runs.
First-gamer Mahesh Priyadarshana showcased his skill with the ball in hand, nabbing 2-26 off 7.2 overs.
While Nathan Abley dusted off the whites for the first time and claimed 2-41 alongside Priyadarshana, and the away side will be hopeful the duo can replicate those efforts.
