But the Lakers are keen to put their best foot forward in round two of the Cricket Shepparton summer tomorrow against Central Park-St Brendan's.
With Deakin Reserve getting irrigation and pitch renewal works, the contest will be at Central Park Recreation Reserve.
Nagambie batted for most of its 45 overs in round one against Tatura before an outfield collision forced play to be abandoned.
After reaching 1-110 at one stage though, Nagambie captain Mark Nolan is confident his batsmen will be in good form again when facing the Tigers.
“It was obviously a bit disappointing to not get the full game in, but player welfare comes first and that was the priority at the time,” Nolan said.
“We're looking forward to a challenge away from home this week, but we're ready for it.
“(There's) definitely plenty of positives to take out of last week, when you can build a platform like that you'll win the game most of the time. We'll go out and try and do that again if we get the chance to bat first.”
Matt Martin's 60 at the top of the order was impressive, as was the return of Luke Nolan, who struck 42 at first drop.
“He (Luke) had a couple of really good years at Katandra with the bat and won a flag, he's one of the best keepers in the league as well,” Nolan said.
“He takes the pressure off us in the middle order and he's great in the field with his experience as well. It's very good to have him back.”
The Tigers battled hard against reigning premier Numurkah last week, but could not get over the line.
Ramadan Yze was the star of the show with 4-45 and 54 from 72 deliveries.
