Vic Country surrendered a first-half lead to Western Australia on Friday at Marvel Stadium, but Armstrong continued to highlight his ability to onlookers and recruiters under the roof.
Recording 29 disposals, Armstrong led Vic Country for possessions while playing across half-back.
Armstrong also recorded six marks, three tackles, four clearances and seven intercept possessions in his role, amassing 106 ranking points for the contest.
Vic Country’s 9.6 (60) to 10.16 (76) loss to the Black Swans hands Armstrong’s side a 1-1 record, the regional statesmen sitting fourth out of five on the National Championships ladder.
However, Wednesday at Mars Stadium, Ballarat, provides Vic Country with an opportunity to rebound, taking on 1-2 South Australia.
