The talented Shepparton prop’s spot was announced on Wednesday after trialling at La Trobe University in Melbourne, continuing not only the Bulls’ golden run of representative nominations, but the continuation of Silaga’s own burgeoning rugby journey.
The Super Rugby series pits the finest junior rugby union talents from Australia against each other, with the series commencing in late September.
It’s another proud moment for the dynamic country talent, who has already competed in the representative arena for the Melbourne Brothers Academy this year.
Laurenson Silaga is one of Shepparton’s most promising rugby union talents.

Shepparton and Northern Panthers combined under-16 coach Junior Fiu said Silaga was a dynamic player with a high IQ.
“He’s come a long way from last year,” Fiu said.
“He’s a natural prop, but this year, because he’s a more experienced player, we had him playing on the back row.
“He was playing second five-eighth at one point just because he’s got a great rugby IQ.
“He came back from the Melbourne Brothers tour and was even better because he was with a really talented squad.
“He just continued to grow in the game and he’s a really humble kid.”
Shepparton Bulls are producing next-gen talent like Laurenson Silaga at a rate of knots.

Another Bulls star is also biding her time to make an impact on the pitch.
Rising star Fofoa Tulimafono has earned a prestigious selection to represent the ACT Brumbies in the ongoing Next Gen Sevens Cup, a premier showcase of Australia's most promising rugby sevens talents.
Tulimafono is waiting to take to the field as she aims to overcome a recent injury.
