The charges carry a combined sanction of six games.
MacFarlane’s teammate Dylan Wayman was also reported for striking.
The incident was referred directly to the tribunal, graded intentional conduct, high contact and low impact.
Roos player Billie Gahan was the third report arising from the clash at Girgarre Recreation Reserve, offered a one-match suspension for attempted striking.
Murchison-Toolamba’s Alex Tattersall was offered a two-week ban on the back of a rough conduct charge, while Violet Town’s Ash Hockey was offered three for striking.

Meanwhile, an Undera junior will front the tribunal after being cited four times for an incident involving an umpire.
The under-15 player was reported twice on the charge of using abusive, insulting, threatening or obscene language, one instance of which was directed toward an umpire.
The player was then reported for behaving in an abusive, insulting, threatening or obscene manner towards or in relation to an umpire and then intentionally making contact with, or striking an umpire.
