Michel shot five-under-par on day one to head into the second round of play a shot behind overnight leader Scott Barr, before a four-birdie stretch on the front nine saw the 30-year-old take the lead.
The Shepp star was dialled in on the par four 15th with a decisive eagle to pull away in the latest WA leg of the Series, finishing three shots clear of Barr and 10-under for the weekend.
“Scott (Barr)and I were having a really good battle, going back and forth,” Michel told golf.com.au.
“We were playing on each other's momentum.
“It just helps everything moving forward, just planning on playing the Pro-Am circuit for the year and putting money towards Q schools for Asia or Europe.”
It’s Michel’s first win of the 2026 Series, which runs from April to early December.
Victory for the Shepparton golf product comes after tying sixth in the Tasmanian Open in April, before competing in Pro-Am’s in Griffith (=12), Yenda (=43), and Karratha (=7).
