Yarrawonga/Mulwala Table Tennis Association came away from the third Table Tennis Country Championships held on June 7 and 9 in Traralgon winning two shields.

The C1 shield was won by John Wright, Evan Kibble, Murray Heather and Rod Armstrong while the D3 shield was won by Aaron Aromeh Alexander (Alex), James Loughnan, Neil Garner and Wil Anderson filled in and came away with a winning medal.
The Junior team walked away runners up with the team of Sienna Bajada, Wil Anderson and Abby Moloney while the club also came back with three leading players in John Wright for C1, Alex for D3, Sienna for E1.
On the Sunday night for the individual tournament, YMTT were fortunate to walk away with a C grade win and also Alex winning the E grade singles.
Club members would like to thank all sponsors and congratulate juniors who played their first tournament away this year, all had a ball.

This year John Wright has played 30 years of Country Championships while vice president Murray Heather has played 49 years, notching up their milestone for Country Championships which have been played throughout Victoria with Traralgon to host for many more years to come.

C1 - Yarra Lakers finished on top, and Sunbury Creekers were runners up.
C2 - Wooden spoon went to Yarra Skimmers.
D1 - Yarra Splash finished third.
D3 - Yarra Castaways finished on top and Traralgon grid were runners up.
E1 - Yarra Wave Riders finished second behind Traralgon Ohms.
E2 - Yarra Drift finished fourth.
E3 - Wooden spoon went to Yarra Reeds.
