By quarter-time Echuca had built up a five-point lead, leaving the door slightly ajar for Seymour.
But Echuca slammed it shut in the second and third quarters as the side led each by 11 and eight points respectively.
The Lions looked to claw back in the fourth but the Bombers and their best-on performer Bianca Willis proved to be unstoppable, winning the last quarter by four points and the game by 28.
Ella Tennant and Olivia Barry were two standout players for Seymour as they controlled the mid-court and created space.
Sarah Szczykulski was best-on for the Lions and her communication in defence was vital in the scoreline not blowing out any further.
Seymour remains within touching distance of the top of the table and coach Ellie Fuhrmeister has reiterated the importance of mentality.
“Everyone is keeping a positive attitude and trying to maintain intensity,” Fuhrmeister said.
Seymour will be looking to bounce back from the loss this Saturday with a win away from home against middle-of-the-table club Shepparton United.
