The talented swingman will be at Ikon Park until 2027, taking him into an eighth season with the club that drafted him with pick 17 in the 2019 AFL National Draft.
He notched up seven goals in just five appearances this season, including a standout performance of five majors against the Western Bulldogs.
However, an unlucky injury run continued after Kemp ruptured his Achilles, bringing a premature end to what had been a promising campaign.
“I’m super excited and pretty bullish on what this group can do over the next few years,” Kemp said to Carlton Media.
“(2025) has been challenging for sure, I felt at the start of the year I was really ready to play some good AFL footy.
“To go down with an injury was pretty disappointing personally and those close to me, but it’s given me a bit of time to reflect on what I can get better at and what will help me in the role when I return.”
The versatile 24-year-old, just one match away from his 50th game milestone, has impressed as a forward for the Blues after originally establishing himself in defence.
The former Murray Bomber has been diligently working on his recovery, and Carlton Head of List Management Nick Austin said Kemp’s determination and promise made him a priority target for the Blues to keep on board.
“We see a lot of promise in Brodie, so to have him re-sign is a real positive. He is coming off a consistent 2024 and was really finding a place in the forward line,” Austin said.
“Whilst we all felt for Brodie after his injury, we can’t fault his diligence and determination during a tough period.
“He has really attacked his rehab, so today’s announcement is a real testament to his positive mindset and desire to be the best player he can be.
“Brodie’s willingness to play whatever role asked of him tells you a lot about his character and why he is such a loved member of the group; we are excited to see Brodie continue to grow his game."
At Engie Stadium on Saturday, two former Goulburn Valley League stars clashed in a high-stakes AFL elimination final showdown.
Former Shepparton Swans and Shepparton man Jarman Impey had the last laugh over ex-Shepparton Bear Lachie Ash, with Impey’s Hawks getting the job done over Greater Western Sydney to bundle the Giants out of finals.
Hawthorn at one stage held a 40-point lead before the Giants slammed home seven unanswered goals to draw back within a kick.
Ash was typically productive with 28 disposals and 805 metres gained, but Impey (28 disposals and seven marks) helped the Hawks steady to earn a 19-point victory and a semi-final date against Adelaide.
