Youngsters in the under-13, under-16 and under-19 categories will take to the courts down at Shepparton Sports Stadium for the spectacle on July 11.
In association with Badminton Victoria (BV), the Shepp Feathers Badminton Club has put on the competition which will see up-and-coming players take part in singles, doubles and mixed doubles matches.
The tournament forms part of BV’s junior country player pathway, with the Beyond Bank Junior Classic tournaments such as the upcoming Shepparton edition regional players the chance to compete in a local tournament environment and gain valuable experience.
These events are open only to players from regional Victoria, with BV having identified that many young players do not have enough competition opportunities to develop tournament experience.
The Beyond Bank Junior Classics will also allow talent selectors to identify players for BV Junior Teams in the under-13 and under-17 categories.
Selected players may be chosen to represent the Victorian Country Team at the National Championships, subject to approval from Badminton Australia.
BV has vowed to work with regional clubs to host these tournaments and build local capacity for future competitions.
The tournament will also be sponsored by Beyond Bank Australia, as BV looks to continue to bring competitions to regional venues.
Badminton Victoria CEO Clint Proctor welcomed the continuation of the partnership across the 2026–2027 season.
