Shepparton United talent Zavier Maher ran out for Carlton in its dominant round 16 win over Sandringham.
Maher played a helping hand in the Blues’ 14.25 (109) to 9.6 (60) triumph.
The classy teenager had plenty of district faces run out alongside him at Trevor Barker Oval, with former Congupna, Shepparton and Tatura talent Matt Shannon and Echuca's Brodie Kemp featuring in the line-up.
The appearance for Carlton on Saturday had been a long time coming for Maher.
The gun on-baller injured his knee while training for the Blues in pre-season and missed the opening months of this season.
He made his senior debut for United earlier this year, while featuring for the Murray Bushrangers three times.
Meanwhile, Michael Barlow and his Werribee outfit are inching closer to a finals berth after a convincing win over Northern Bullants.
Werribee stunned the Bullants with an eight-goal final term to record a 14.17 (101) to 10.11 (71) win.
Barlow, a Fremantle and Gold Coast Suns star, is in his first season as coach of the ‘Bees and has them placed 10th on the ladder.
Strathmerton export Louis Pinnuck and Seymour's Bior Malual both gathered 20 disposals in the win, while Deniliquin's Jack Henderson went one better with 21.
Elsewhere, Euroa's Will Hayes had a truckload of the ball in Footscray's powerful win over Casey Demons.
Hayes finished with 32 disposals as the Bulldogs overturned a seven-goal deficit to win the match by 37 points.
Mooroopna duo Laitham Vandermeer and Nathan Drummond each kicked a goal in the stunning victory.
Williamstown clawed its way over the line in a thriller against Coburg.
Echuca's Darby Henderson and Benalla's Nick Mellington (26 disposals) provided support as the Seagulls held on for a four-point win.
Lastly, a pair of district products helped steer Richmond to a 16-point win over Frankston.
Seymour's Dylan Cook and Nathalia's Nathan Oakes collected 15 and 16 disposals, respectively.
