Annual Frank Bush Memorial

The 10th annual Bushies Memorial Day was held at Kialla Golf Club on Sunday.

More than 45 players from Kialla, Mooroopna, Shepparton and Cosgrove played in perfect conditions, weather and course-wise in recognition of esteemed life member, the late Frank Bush.

Betty (Frankâ€™s widow) attended with eight family members for afternoon tea then presented the winners of the day trophies which were kindly donated by Kensington Gardens, which sponsored the day.

Jenny Cannon and Ray Winnell won the right to have their names on the honour board. Kay and Jim Woodward were a close second.

In the scratch event Kim Morris and Darren Duckworth (Shepparton) narrowly defeated Simone Gale and Tim Gubbins.

A great day was had by all and it was so good to be able to play this prestigious event in 2021 after such a horrid 2020.

KGC looks forward to welcoming all players and the Bush family at the 11th annual Bushies Memorial Day on the first Sunday in May, 2022.
