Tatura jumped into second place in division two of Goulburn Valley Bowls Division weekend pennant with a strong win against Kyabram on Saturday.

In a tight match, it stood up when the game was on the line to come away with a 102-86 win, claiming 16 of a possible 18 competition points in the process.
Peter Wallis’ 25-15 win got things going for Tatura, while Jason Carter (23-15) and John Attwood (26-24) won their rinks, although Kelvin Beacon (32-28) got the Power on the board.
Tatura pinched second as Shepparton Golf fell to powerful Tallygaroopna, although the Golfers did not go down without a fight.
Tally won three of four rinks for a 98-85 result, with Mark Ryan (31-19) was once again his side's most dominant force.
Tally remained undefeated for the season, 59 points clear of second on the ladder. with one more game before finals.
Shepparton Park will also play finals after locking down fourth on the ladder with a good win against Mooroopna.
The Parkers had no trouble seeing off the Cats, winning 104-78 with three of four rinks, Dennis Beck's 34-15 result the biggest margin.
And Hill Top also found itself a nice win, beating Seymour 111-86 in a clean sweep.
● Mooroopna Golf continued its dominant division three season, pounding Dookie by 50 shots on Saturday.
The Golfers took three rinks, but Allan Lorains and Lynn Cain-Barber stood out, winning 39-11 and 32-15 to build the huge margin.
They are now on top of the ladder, seven points of clear of second-ranked Rushworth after it fell to Shepparton Park.
The Parkers were in top form, winning 111-69 led by Murray Phillips (35-10) and Jim Shanahan (32-14).
East Shepparton dug in to win a nail-biter against Shepparton Golf, pinching a four-shot win.
East won 93-89 with Gary Lovell's 25-15 rink win decisive after two rinks were tied.
And Kyabram also had to grind hard to capture its win, taking a 100-97 result.
● In division four, Shepparton RSL enjoyed a 102-66 win against Murchison.
In a comprehensive showing, RSL won all four rinks with Graeme McKinnis (29-16) and Terrence Rowe (27-16) producing the biggest margins.
Euroa also looked in great form, beating Avenel 101-90 led by Lindsay Cocking's 32-12 pounding of Brett McDonald.
Second-ranked Tallygaroopna was also in brutal form, smashing Rushworth 153-63 in one of the season's biggest wins.
Hill Top remained in good form ahead of finals, retaining top spot on the ladder with a 90-76 win against Shepparton Park, Andrew Willaton leading the way with a 28-16 rink win,
And East Shepp also looked sharp, winning 110-82 largely thanks to Ivan Hall's 39-19 win.
● Stanhope continued to charge towards division five finals, winning 76-64 against Colbinabbin to stay on top of the ladder.
Seymour had a good win against Violet Town, 75-66, while Hill Top took down Dookie 79-65.
And Mooroopna Golf wrapped up the round with a large 89-48 win against East Shepparton.
● Division six east's winners were Euroa, East Shepparton and Seymour, while Hill Top, Stanhope and Shepparton Golf won in the west.
