The Premier Cricket Twenty20 competition hosts its semi-finals and grand final in each conference on Sunday, just as the GVBBL takes to Kyabram's Northern Oval.
It means the likes of Josh McDonald, Richard Oliver, Peter Cassidy (Jarvis Delahey Crushers), James Nanopoulos and Tom Donnell (Hurley's Hotel Hounds) will be missing from their respective franchises.
With Cobram Panel Works Panthers marquee James Seymour also unavailable for round two, it leaves Shepparton News GVBBL Fantasy participants with a number of selection and trade headaches.
Only two trades are allowed between each round and coaches must abide by the initial structure of the squads, with one franchise skipper, two marquees and nine drafted players making up the 12 members of each team.
It will leave plenty of donuts across the competition, as mooted on episode two of the Shepp News GVBBL Podcast — available now at sheppnews.com.au/sport — with former fantasy sports champion Ash Williamson joining sports editor Tyler Maher and senior sports journalist Alex Mitchell in the studio.
The SRP Mud Dogs have helped clear the picture somewhat, naming Hamish Winter-Irving and Xavier Chalkley as inclusions for Cade Mueller and Liam Hocking.
The Crushers have the remaining 12 members of their squad available, meaning at least three of Ash Quinn, Mitch McGrath, Sam Dorsey and Luke Patel — who all sat out round one — will play at Northern Oval on Sunday.
At the Panthers three changes have been mooted, with Jordan Cleeland a likely inclusion for the all-round talents of Seymour.
Ben Fulford, James Tierney and Saranjit Kalsi will also be itching to take to the pitch after watching on in the first game.
And the Hounds will empty the bench in round two, with Jackson McLay, Brenton Campbell, Gino Saracino and Matt Hinks set to taste Crane Aid GVBBL action for the first time.
Remember to have your trades, captain, vice-captain and 12th man delegations to sport@sheppnews.com.au before 11 am on Sunday.
