With the Suns' senior sides out of action on the weekend, two of the club's five junior sides saluted with all three points against the Lions.
The under-18 side's stunning come-from-behind triumph at McEwen Reserve was its fifth win of the season.
The Suns opened proceedings through Elijah Brooker's first goal of the game in the 17th minute.
However, the eighth-placed Lions grabbed control from there.
The visitors netted the next three goals of the match to enter half-time with a 3-1 lead.
It only took six minutes into the second half for the Suns to respond, with Brooker nailing his second and completing his brace.
With the scoreboard tight, tempers flared on the field, with Suns Fraser Gosstray, Stefan Pigatto and Darcy Keck handed yellow cards.
However, Gosstray stood tall and netted the equaliser in the 79th minute.
The exciting talent scored the winner in the 86th minute, clinching a memorable 4-3 triumph.
Meanwhile, the under-16 Suns secured a gritty 2-1 victory against the Lions, thanks to a superb brace from Garang Kuol.
The youngster - a member of the talented Kuol family - netted his first goal in the opening five minutes and scored the winner after 76 minutes.
Kuol's second strike past the opposition keeper helped the Suns secure their 13th win of the season, as they move into fifth position on the table.
Elsewhere, the under-15s toughed out a scoreless draw that was full of on-field drama.
Goulburn Valley goal-keeper Alex Georgopoulos and Lions opponent John Karagiannis were shown red cards in the 65th minute, with two more Lions players handed yellow cards.
In the under-14s, the Suns were dealt a heavy 9-0 defeat, while the under-13s suffered a 4-0 loss.
