A woman was flown to hospital in Melbourne after an early morning crash on a rural road on Sunday, September 28.
Police said a Toyota LandCruiser travelling east on Winter Rd and a Toyota Corolla travelling south on McEwen Rd at Girgarre collided at about 6.10am.
There is a stop sign on Winter Rd at that intersection.
A 57-year-old woman who was driving the Corolla was flown to the Royal Melbourne Hospital from the crash scene.
An Ambulance Victoria spokesperson said the woman was treated by paramedics for mid to upper body injuries and was in a serious condition when she was flown to hospital.
The 44-year-old Girgarre man who was the driver and sole occupant of the LandCruiser was taken to Goulburn Valley Health by road ambulance in a stable condition.
A section of the two roads was closed for about three hours on Sunday.
Police investigations into the crash are continuing.
