The discovery of a car that had been stolen from Melbourne led to the search of a Shepparton house on Monday, October 6.
The car had been stolen from Melbourne on September 7.
Police said they found the sedan in a Shepparton street “in proximity to the address” that they later searched.
When they searched the nearby house, among the items seized by police were a machete and a taser.
A Shepparton man was arrested and charged with theft of a vehicle, possessing prohibited weapons and trafficking methamphetamines.
He will face Shepparton Magistrates’ Court.
