A grass and scrub fire sparked by a trailer being towed on a road at St Germains challenged CFA crews as they battled the blaze last week.

The fire, which broke out on Echuca Rd at around 1pm on Friday, December 5, burnt an area of around 800m by 30m.
Fifteen CFA units worked to contain the fire in windy conditions, which saw the blaze jump the road.
The fire was deemed under control at 8.30pm.
The blaze covered an area about 800m long.

There was a fault on the power network in the area at 1.54pm the same day.
Powercor crews attended the site and replaced the damaged pole.
Work was completed by 9.30am the next day, Saturday, December 6.
There was no impact to power supply for customers.
