Trio in Melbourne hospital after crash

UPDATE: 10.20am:

Ambulance Victoria has given an update about three teenagers injured in a crash at Kialla, late on Thursday, July 3.

An Ambulance Media spokesperson said a person, aged in her teens, was airlifted to Royal Melbourne Hospital in a serious but stable condition after being treated for upper and lower body injuries.

A man in his teens was transported by road to the Royal Melbourne Hospital in a serious but stable condition after being treated for upper body injuries, according to the spokesperson.

A man in his teens was flown to The Alfred hospital in a stable condition after being treated for upper and lower body injuries, the spokesperson said.

UPDATE 10am:

Three people were taken to hospital in Melbourne with serious injuries after a crash in Kialla on Thursday, July 3.

The trio were in a ute that crashed into a light pole on the Goulburn Valley Hwy near Riverview Dve about 11.15pm.

The male driver, and a male and female passenger, were all taken to hospital, police said.

Police were on scene Thursday night and Friday morning trying to establish the circumstances surrounding the collision.

EARLIER: Traffic has been thrown into chaos in Shepparton and Kialla on the morning of Friday, July 4, with a major road closed after a serious collision last night.

Police have closed off a section of Goulburn Valley Hwy near Riverside Plaza at Kialla to investigate a crash that occurred about 11.15pm Thursday.

Traffic was still being diverted down service roads around the scene on Friday morning, and as a result has been slowed significantly.
