Four separate reports of thefts from retail stores were made last week, as well as two business break-ins.
Police said there appears to be a connection with the four retail thefts.
“Police are following up a number of inquiries in relation to the recent thefts from retail stores to identify the suspect,” Chief Inspector Michael Fuller said.
“It is believed that the incidents that have occurred can be linked to the same individuals.
“Anyone who has information about these crimes is asked to contact Deniliquin Police on 5881 9299 or CrimeStoppers on 1800 333 000.”
The retail thefts occurred over three days last week, targeting stores in Cressy St and Napier St.
One Cressy St store reported a theft at 10.10am Tuesday.
On Wednesday, thefts were reported from two different Napier St businesses, at 1.30pm and 1.45pm.
Another Cressy St store reported a theft from about 3.15pm Thursday.
Police are also still investigating the break-in at Harry Pepper Coffee, which was reported in the Pastoral Times on Friday.
A new business break-in report was received by police yesterday.
“Between 11am Saturday and 7am Monday, an engineering business in Hardinge St, Deniliquin was broken into,” Chief Insp Fuller said.
“At this stage, nothing appears to have been stolen.”
Anyone with information about any of the incidents is asked to contact police or CrimeStoppers.
