More than 3000 customers lost power briefly across Shepparton on Tuesday night.
The outage happened when a vehicle hit a Powercor roadside electrical asset that services an area from central Shepparton towards Kialla at 10.06pm.
Initially, 2935 customers lost power for around a minute.
The number affected rose and fell in the following minutes; however, Powercor crews and controllers were able to restore power to more than 2300 customers by 10.28pm.
Power was restored to all but three customers after midnight, by 2.11am on Wednesday, May 7.
Those three Wilmot Rd customers remained in the dark after lunchtime on Wednesday.
“Our crews have been working throughout the day to repair the damaged network and expect to have power back on to the remaining three customers by 4.30pm today,” a Powercor spokesperson told The News on Wednesday afternoon.
“We are continuing to keep them updated via SMS and our website.”
Powercor thanked its customers for their patience as its teams responded to the fault.
