A second childcare worker has been charged by police relating to an incident at a Deniliquin early learning centre facility in November last year.

Officers attached to Murray River Police District commenced investigations on Thursday, December 5, 2024, following reports a five year-old girl had been assaulted.
It will be alleged that in November 2024, a female worker at the centre poured water from a drink bottle onto the child.
Following inquiries, a 47 year-old woman was issued a Court Attendance Notice on Saturday, charged with assault school student while attending school.
She is due to appear before Deniliquin Local Court on Wednesday, November 12, 2025.
A 27 year-old female worker from the centre was also charged in relation to the same matter last month.
She is set to appear before Deniliquin Local Court on Wednesday, October 15.
