All-ages event SAM Sounds will take hold of the building, featuring three Shepparton local artists — Sara Retallick, Minyerra and Nicole Thorne Trio — interpreting and responding to art across the space.
SAM engagement manager Gabriella Calandro said the free event was the “perfect opportunity” for the community to explore the building.
“SAM Sounds creates a new and exciting way to experience the SAM building and exhibitions, set to the musical interpretation of some of our regions’ most celebrated and talented musicians,” she said.
In a finale to the season, the last SAM After Sunset will follow from 7pm.
With music from Sam + Sam and Braden Pullen, the 18-plus event will take place on the level four balcony where ticket holders can enjoy canapés and drinks.
“The evening event is an opportunity to gather with friends and experience one of Shepparton's most unique venues while listening to great live music,” Ms Calandro said.
The SAM café and SAM shop will remain open for late-night trade.
Both events will take place on Friday, June 3.
