Set to impress on Saturday, October 18, the festival will welcome international and local musos ready to rock out at the pubs and in the centre of town.
Among the acts flying in from afar will be New Zealand’s Marlon Williams, United States export Sylvie, and from Canada, The Secret Beach and Kacy & Clayton.
A strong Melbourne contingent is on the list, including Loose Lips, Jess Ribeiro, Public Figures, Wrong Way Up and Millú.
Rounding out the line-up is Wollongong’s Chimers, the Mornington Peninsula’s Hedge Burners, and from the remote Northern Territory community of Gapuwiyak is Drifting Clouds.
Yorta Yorta and Dja Dja Wurrung artist Yordja Bitja, or Troy Firebrace, will provide visual accompaniments through his arts and education business Firebrace Designs
The line-up offers something for all, with a mix of rock, punk and folk with Kacy & Clayton, Jess Ribeiro, The Secret Beach, Chimers, Loose Lips and Hedge Burners.
Marlon Williams and Sylvie will strip it back with ballads and soul.
For those who prefer a boogie, Wrong Way Up, Public Figures, Millú and Drifting Clouds will deliver more pop, electronic and disco sounds.
The full line-up for the second OK Motels Rochester event, rocking out on Saturday, October 18.
The stages are set at Hotel Rochester, the Shamrock and the Criterion for the first shows of the day, before a special performance in the middle of town.
Beyond the music, the shire hall will become the Rochy Hall of Friendship, a space to ‘marry your friends’ in a platonic ceremony complete with vows and a badge to mark the occasion.
Devonshire tea will be served up at the ‘tell your friends you love them’ speed-friending event, sharing stories and meeting new faces.
There will be ‘friend fortune-tellers’ to get a glimpse into your friendship futures, along with line dancing lessons at the disco rodeo.
Among the food on offer will be steak sandwiches from the fish shop, sausages cooked up by the Lions Club, and pub feeds.
The streets will come alive with ‘sip shop’, a chance to enjoy a local tipple at businesses like the newsagent and SportsPower.
Rochester Town Market is also on the cards to support makers and creators from nearby.
Meanwhile, Wayne Park will play tour guide for ‘Wayne’s mural walk’, guiding guests through Rochy’s painted laneways and mural park.
The day will be rounded out by the ‘OK Headliner Diner’, where Marlon Williams and Kacy & Clayton will soundtrack a shared meal.
Attendees from far and wide will join the event in Rochy, with some even coming up via sleeper train from Southern Cross Station.
