The Benalla and District Social Inclusion Action Group has launched a Resource Library, offering practical equipment for loan to help reduce barriers and encourage participation.
Items currently available include a data projector, laptop, PA system with microphone, trestle tables, wheelchair ramp, gazebos and bean bags.
Benalla Mayor Bernie Hearn said council was seeking feedback from the community to guide future additions to the Resource Library.
“We would love to hear from community members about what they would like to see added to the Resource Library,” Cr Hearn said.
“While we can’t promise every suggestion will be added straight away, your ideas will help the library grow into the future.”
Cr Hearn said the initiative was about empowering community groups by providing them with access to equipment that might otherwise be out of reach.
“We know that community groups play a vital role in bringing people together and creating opportunities for connection,” she said.
“This Resource Library is about helping those groups focus on what matters most – delivering inclusive and meaningful activities for our community.”
Community members are invited to visit www.haveyoursay.benalla.vic.gov.au/ to share their feedback, explore the full list of available equipment, and access the booking form to hire items.
The Social Inclusion Action Group is coordinated by Benalla Rural City Council and made possible through funding provided by the Victorian Government Department of Health.
