The program looks to support local businesses through one-on-one mentoring focused on real challenges, real conversations and real progress with experienced local mentors.
Successful applicants will get two structured 60-minute sessions over a three-month period, with the first one taking place from May to July.
City of Greater Shepparton Mayor Shane Sali said the program reflected council’s commitment to backing local businesses with practical support.
“Our local business community is full of experience and knowledge. This program connects that experience with business operators who are looking for guidance,” he said.
“Running a business can feel isolating at times. Having access to someone who has been through similar challenges can make a real difference. This is about strengthening our networks and supporting businesses to grow in a sustainable way.”
The Business Mentor Program is designed to strengthen the region’s business community by encouraging knowledge exchange, building stronger networks and helping local operators build confidence in key areas such as planning, cashflow, marketing, digital capability, human resources and resilience.
The program is open to Greater Shepparton businesses in their early stages or looking to strengthen their operations.
Applications for the May to July 2026 mentoring period are now open and close Monday, April 27.
