But it was the culmination of a season's work that gave Muir the most satisfaction on Kyabram District League grand final day.
“It’s very relieving to get up and win,” Muir said.
Named among Nagambie’s best on the day, Muir’s milestone took a back seat as he did all he could to help steer the Lakers to another flag.
“Three hundred games is a good thing, but I didn’t really worry about it,” he said.
“It was just about the flag.”
As a member of all four of the Lakers' recent premierships, Muir said it felt pretty special to be part of the strong legacy Nagambie continues to build.
“I feel very lucky to play with the blokes I do, they carry you along,” he said.
“It makes it a lot easier to turn up.”
And despite being one of the more seasoned players with Nagambie, Muir continues to go from strength to strength in a dominant Lakers midfield.
“You just need to make sure you do the hard work in the pre-season and it pays off in the end,” Muir said.
“The body's getting a bit of wear and tear, but it's still holding together with a fair bit of tape.”
And it looks like Muir will be there next season when the Lakers look to defend their premiership title, with a fifth medal firmly in Muir's sights.
