The bull, named Viserys, wandered into Pinch of Salt on Fryers St as part of a quirky Mother’s Day promotion arranged by store owner Carolyn Young.
The visit quickly drew attention from stunned pedestrians, with some mistaking the unusual guest for an oversized dog.
Viserys is a miniature stud Belted Galloway bull, part of BT Belties.
A collection cared for by Carolyn’s son, Brody Young, since 2015.
This was the bull’s first visit to Shepparton.
The inspiration behind the event came from a phrase Carolyn often hears in her shop.
“People always say they feel like a bull in a china shop walking through my store,” she said.
“So I thought, why not bring in a real one?”
Special preparations were made ahead of the visit to protect the store.
Glass surfaces were covered to prevent Viserys from seeing his reflection and becoming startled, and plastic sheeting was laid over the floors.
Pinch of Salt has been operated by Carolyn for the past 25 years.
The store is known for offering unique home decor items.
While Viserys may not have left with a purchase, his presence certainly gave customers and passers-bys something to talk about.
Viserys is the cutest customer.
