A man has been arrested over a fire at Ardmona late on Wednesday, November 26.
CFA firefighters were called to the fire on the Midland Hwy opposite Ardmona Caravan Park at 10pm.
CFA District 22 commander Rod Railton said firefighters in five trucks fought the grass fire on the side of the road.
The fire burnt an area of grass about 150m by 40m.
The fire also surrounded power lines but they were not damaged.
Fire crews had the fire under control by 10.24pm, with the area made safe and blacked out for a further 30 minutes after that.
Police said they arrested a 28-year-old Shepparton man near the fire.
He was interviewed, but no charges have been laid at this point.
Police said they were not looking for anyone else in relation to the fire.
