The market will be held on Saturday, May 2 from 9am to 1pm at Stuart Mock Place, featuring a range of stalls including fashion, homewares, jewellery and artisan products, along with kids’ activities and live entertainment.
City of Greater Shepparton Mayor Shane Sali said events such as the Tatura Market were key parts of the local economy.
“Events like this play an important role in supporting local businesses across Greater Shepparton,” he said.
“When people shop local, they are backing local makers, small businesses and families who contribute to our region’s economy.”
Greater Shepparton City Council place manager Bonnie McIntosh said the market gave locals the opportunity to find unique Mother’s Day gifts.
“The Tatura Market gives people the chance to find something unexpected. Whether it is handmade, locally designed or simply something a bit different, the market offers options you would not usually find in one place,” she said.
Residents and visitors are encouraged to mark the date in their calendars now and shop local ahead of Mother’s Day.
Midland Ward Cr Rod Schubert said supporting the Tatura Market meant supporting the local community.
“As a Tatura local, I know how important events like this are for our town. The market brings people into the heart of Tatura and supports our local businesses, makers and traders,” he said.
