Community Accessability, a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to empowering individuals through inclusive services including arts and crafts, music and dance, cooking classes, literacy support, exercise programs, and even bike-riding adventures, has serviced the Yarrawonga region for several years but recently took over the lease of the railway station to offer a Yarrawonga meeting space.
The local not-for-profit entity will open their doors from 10am to 2pm tomorrow to welcome the community and give visitors a chance to meet the staff and participants of Community Accessability, learn about available services, job opportunities, see how they can get involved and tour the facilities.
Community Accessability Disability Services Manager Nigel Byron said whether you’re a participant, carer, support co-ordinator, OT, Allied health, social worker, job seeker or just someone curious of what’s on offer, everyone is welcome.
“This is a great chance to connect, ask questions and celebrate together,” Mr Byron said.
“The event will feature a free sausage sizzle, music, and hands-on arts and crafts activities — all set against the backdrop of this beautifully preserved historic site.”
