Rain hasn’t fallen in the Goulburn Valley for some time, but there is a hell of a lot of thunder on the way.

More than 500 Harley-Davidsons will roar into the region next year, with Shepparton chosen as the host city for the 2026 Victorian State HOG Rally.
The riders — all members of the Harley Owners Group, which has more than 1400 official HOG chapters worldwide — will congregate at motoring museum MOVE from Friday, March 6, to Sunday, March 8, during the March Labour Day long weekend.
Hailing from across Australia, the visiting motorcyclists will enjoy a packed calendar across the three days, including three nights of local entertainment, hosted rides, chapter games and an awards presentation.

For the general public, the shining beasts will be showcased at the rear of MOVE, while a police blockade on the Saturday mornings will make way for the hundreds of bikes to head out from the museum’s Emerald Bank home for a ‘thunder run’, a rolling procession, through Shepparton and Mooroopna before returning.
“This scenic ride will take about 45 to 50 minutes and will undoubtedly bring a buzz to the town centre,” rally host Oz HOG’s David Strawbridge said.
“With support from local advertising, we hope to see the streets lined with people cheering on the procession, benefiting local cafés, shops and service providers along the way.
“We’re committed to creating a memorable and positive experience for everyone in Shepparton, while showcasing the beautiful rural tourist attractions the area has to offer.”
