The pair were returned unopposed to mayor and deputy mayor respectively at Tuesday’s council meeting.
Cr Hall said it was an honour to continue leading the Edward River community.
He reflected on the past term as a period of consolidation and improvement.
“I feel the last two years we’ve set a really strong platform for the future.
“There’s been a lot of learnings, but I can’t thank my fellow councillors enough for their support and commitment, and also the staff led by our CEO.”
Cr Crossley thanked councillors for their confidence, and acknowledged the workload involved in the mayoral role.
“It’s a big job being mayor. It’s incredibly time‑consuming, and you’ve done an incredible job leading us through the first two years,” she said to Cr Hall.
Cr Crossley also highlighted the stability of the council and its future.
“We’ve kicked a lot of goals, built relationships, and we’ve got a really stable council. I’m just so proud of it.
“We have healthy debate, rigorous debate, and we’ve got a lot of great work to do in the next couple of years.”
Both leaders said they look forward to continuing the work of council and delivering results for the Edward River region over the next two years.
