Starting on October 9, each session will run on Thursdays from 6pm to 8pm at GOTAFE’s Tone Rd, Wangaratta campus.
The sessions give participants the chance to discover how vocational education can connect them to university and real-world career opportunities, and feature presentations, speed dating-style sessions with teachers, time for questions, networking opportunities and complimentary snacks and beverages.
Workshops cover topics including career change, university and industry pathways, community services, research and education.
GOTAFE and CSU staff will be available to discuss career options and educational pathways.
GOTAFE executive director student experience Laura Baker encouraged community members to make the most of these sessions.
“The Connected Learning sessions will provide community members with a chance to see how vocational education can open real pathways to in-demand industries," she said.
CSU manager regional student success Karina Kerr said the sessions would provide practical insights.
“The series of events provides community members with a unique opportunity to have GOTAFE and Charles Sturt in the same room to discuss what a career change may look like and how higher education can help advance your career options,” she said.
