The fire started in the house on Baden Dve on Tuesday, June 10, with the CFA called to the scene at 1.50pm.
When the first fire truck arrived, the blaze had taken hold throughout the house.
The roof had been burnt through.
Incident controller Colin James said crews had to fight the fire from all sections of the house.
“Firefighters attacked the fire from the front and rear of the house,” he said.
“Regrettably the majority of the house roof collapsed.
“It was fortunate we had access to a hydrant.
“Six fire brigades from CFA and Fire Rescue Victoria fought the fire.
“Nine firefighters wearing breathing apparatus attacked the fire from the inside in a front room that was not affected while other firefighters attacked the outside.”
One person was inside the house at the time of the fire and made their own way out.
The fire was contained in about 15 to 20 minutes and controlled in about 40 minutes.
There were no threats to any nearby houses.
All firefighters wearing breathing apparatus were monitored by Ambulance Victoria paramedics but there were no injuries.
CFA investigators are investigating the cause of the fire.
