Campaspe Shire Council is for a second time opening the door for local tourism businesses to put themselves forward for the 2026 Victorian Tourism Awards, with a free mentoring program tailored to help boost success.
Council is hosting a session that will introduce the award and submission process, practical insights into what makes a strong submission and allow attendees to ask questions about the awards and the mentoring support available.
Council has again partnered with leading tourism coach and mentor Karen Oliver of KO Tourism, following the success of the 2025 awards — where three Campaspe businesses were named finalists and one secured a silver placing.
The program aims to build on this momentum and support even more businesses to succeed.
Campaspe Shire Mayor Daniel Mackrell said the awards provided more than recognition.
“These awards are an important opportunity for our operators to strengthen their business, benchmark against peers and gain valuable insights into their capabilities and growth,” he said.
Businesses that attend the session are invited to apply for one-on-one mentoring, designed to help refine submissions and highlight their strengths.
The information session will be held between 12.30pm and 1.30pm in the Echuca library meeting room on Tuesday, March 24.
