A driver fled the scene of a collision in Shepparton on Thursday.

Shepparton police said at around 10.30pm on January 16, a white Ford Falcon station wagon crashed into a power pole on Archer St, near Keppel St, causing extensive damage to both the vehicle and pole.

The driver fled the scene before emergency services arrived.

The damaged vehicle could not be driven and required towing away.

Police have confirmed the driver was not the vehicle’s registered owner and are seeking witnesses and information about the incident.
