A commercial block on the corner of 98-102 St Georges Rd and Hayes St failed to sell at auction on Friday, April 17.
The Commercial 1-zoned 1467 sq m parcel includes four retail premises and a separate residential dwelling.
Stockdale & Leggo estate agent Vince Tassoni said it was rare for a commercial block with multiple tenancies to be on the market.
“I know there's some genuine interest here today … I think we will definitely sell within the next couple of weeks,” Mr Tassoni said.
“If you lose a tenant, you’re losing one, you haven’t lost your whole income, so it’s a relatively low-risk investment … all your eggs aren’t in one basket.
“There's been a mixture of local and Melbourne buyers interested in this one, but the majority have been local.”
Mr Tassoni said the owners were hoping to sell the block for $2 million.
Shops on the strip include a post office, grocery stores and restaurants.
Post office co-owner Bobby Singh said a new landlord could be a positive thing for tenants.
