The new period will be triggered by the club’s AGM on April 28, and will include an investment of more than $1.3 million in improvements.
These will be funded by cash reserves and loans.
Club CEO Peter Duncan said the investment comes after a fantastic 12 months at the club, where the board and management have worked on five key areas of focus.
This has subsequently allowed the club to increase its support of community and sporting groups in the community by at least $70,000.
“The board and management emphasise strong support for the local community, including participation in sporting events, shows, rodeos, street functions, and art displays,” Mr Duncan said.
“In 2025, our donation and sponsorship came to $230,000.
“So far in 2026 we estimate donations to be $300,000 plus.
“Community engagement groups we have worked with in the last 12 months include arts, shows, schools and community organisations.”
Mr Duncan said areas of focus in the past 12 months have included staff training in customer service and bringing on a consultant to support bistro/chef training to improve quality.
There’s also been improvements to transport options, providing an additional 12-seat bus running which is now running seven days a week, and upgrades to club offerings and entertainment.
Overseeing all of this is a new management team, led by Mr Duncan who joined the club last year.
For the next 12 months, the board and management team have set a number of goals to continue to improvements achieved already.
“We’ve proposed an outdoor alfresco area upgrade valued at more than $600,000, with new chairs and stools costing an additional $60,000,” Mr Duncan advised.
“There will be a fire alarm system upgrade priced at more than $200,000 and an air conditioning upgrade costing more than $500,000.
“Other planned investment include a development plan of indoor/outdoor dining and family areas, and the transition towards a restaurant model rather than a bistro.”
More information on club achievements and plans for the future will be discussed at the AGM on Tuesday, April 28.
It will begin at 6.30pm at the club, and will include the election of two office bearers.
