Carl's Jr opens its new restaurant in Kialla

A star was born in Kialla on Wednesday with new burger restaurant Carl's Jr opening to the public.

The opening was marked with a ribbon cutting and chant from excited staff.

Locals can enjoy beef and chicken burgers made to order, as well as hand-scooped ice-cream milkshakes.

The restaurant not only brings a range of chargrilled burgers but also 60 jobs; for many it's their first job.

Shepparton general manager Chris Johnson said Carl's Jr brought an "exciting opportunity" to the area.

“Having been a local for over 10 years, I'm excited to be bringing Carl's Jr to Shepparton,” he said.

“I am invested in the local community and thrilled that Shepp will be benefitting with jobs and opportunities.

“I look forward to growing the business in Shepparton and giving back to the local community.”

Carl’s Jr will offer 10 voucher booklets as prizes through promotional partnerships with the Shepparton News and local outlets
