Greater Shepparton City Council is seeking expressions of interest from service groups, clubs and community organisations that would like to undertake the planning, co-ordination and management of the 2025 Shepparton Australia Day event.
The event, to be held sometime between January 24 and 29, aims to celebrate the achievements and diversity of our community through a free, inclusive and family-friendly event.
The successful group will gain access to the Shepparton Community Celebration Grants Program, with funding of up to $5000 available to support the event.
Council director of sustainable development Geraldine Christou said the local community was integral to the success of celebrations in Greater Shepparton and this event was no different.
“The successful group will also receive support from council staff in the establishment and planning of the 2025 event,” Ms Christou said.
“We are looking forward to working with them to deliver a great event for the community.”
Stage two of the application process may include a discussion or presentation to council by shortlisted groups to finalise the expression-of-interest process.
Expressions of interest can be made via the Shaping Greater Shepp website at https://tinyurl.com/4tnpmu47
Submissions close Friday, August 30 at 5pm.
