Jade’s goal is to build on the practice’s strong community focus and continue providing accessible, comprehensive veterinary care for animals of all shapes and sizes. The team is already providing extended weekday hours to 8:30am to 7pm to help with emergencies, with plans to develop greater support as the veterinary team grows.
Barkly Street Vets provides care for companion animals, horses, cattle, sheep, goats, alpacas, pigs, poultry and even wildlife and pocket pets.
For small animals, services include preventative care and health checks, senior pet healthcare, disease and illness investigations, house calls, routine and emergency surgery, digital X-ray and ultrasound, in-house pathology and end-of-life care.
The practice also provides mobile veterinary services for rural clients, with on-farm consultations covering livestock illness, calving and obstetric problems, soft tissue surgery, herd diagnostics and pregnancy diagnosis.
Equine clients can access on-farm consultations, vaccinations and health checks, colic and lameness investigations, dental procedures, pre-purchase examinations, surgery, gelding and microchipping.
With fully equipped consultation and examination areas, diagnostic technology and pharmaceutical facilities, the team aims to provide practical, individualised care while taking the time to explain treatment options and answer client questions.
As Jade and the team continue growing the practice, their focus remains on supporting the Benalla community and providing care across the many species that call the region home.
