Last year, the club was awarded a $15,000 grant by the Victorian Fisheries Authority to purchase the trailer.
The Burnanga Fishing Club is Victoria's first indigenous fishing club and is set to expand further this year.
Founder and president Corey Walker said the club's purpose was to care for country through fishing.
“We see fishing as a platform to get our community back to country, especially our indigenous youth,” he said.
“We provide a service for culture, fishing, and health and wellbeing benefits as well.
“We've all been through a tough time with the pandemic and what a great way of using this platform to get our mob to country.”
Victorian Fisheries Authority chief executive Travis Dowling said the Yorta Yorta people were keen to get younger generations into fishing.
“We thought that's a wonderful idea,” he said.
“We've looked at different ways of trying to engage but indigenous elders talking to indigenous children about fishing is the best way to do it.
“Facilitating that growth in fishing; we thought providing a grant to provide a trailer the club can get around in, where it can provide fishing rods and get the kids out, would be a wonderful way of doing it.”
